How agent accounts work

An agent at Lotvs never uses your account. It gets an account of its own, funded only by you, and every action it takes goes through rules that Lotvs checks on its servers.

Your account An agent’s account
Who moves money You, approving each transaction The agent, inside the rules you set
Money comes in from Card top ups, bank transfers, other accounts Only a move from your account
What it can do Everything in the app Only what you switched on: pay, buy and sell, earn, vaults
Who changes the rules You You. Never the agent
  • In. You move money from your account into the agent’s account. Nothing from outside is ever put in an agent’s account, and an agent has no address to receive money.
  • Back. You can take money back to your own account at any time, including what the agent invested or put to earn.
  • Set aside for what their actions cost. Your first move sets aside a small amount, $3.00, to cover what your agents’ actions cost to carry out. It belongs to no agent, and what is left comes back when you disconnect your last agent.

By default, an agent sees its own account only: what is free to use, what it invested, its vaults, what it may do, what is left of its day, and how it asks. Under More, Can see, you can also let it see how much is in your account. It never sees your holdings or your history.

Before any action that moves money, Lotvs checks, in order: that the agent is not paused, that the action is switched on, that a transfer goes to someone you allowed, that the vault is open, that it is within each limit, and that there is enough free to use. A payment that passes everything may still have to wait for your yes. The full list is in Checks and errors.

The agent is told in one sentence which rule stopped it and with which figures, followed by: “The owner has been told. Only the owner can change a rule.” There is never a way around it. If an agent is stopped four times by your rules within five minutes, Lotvs pauses it by itself.
