Approvals

Asking is about payments: paying a site and transferring to a person. What stays inside the agent’s account never asks: earning, buying, selling and vaults.

  • Ask every time: every payment waits.
  • Ask above an amount: a payment above the amount waits. So does a small one, once small payments add up to $20.00 since your last answer.
  • Automatic: none waits.

A site you always allow, up to its amount, does not wait. Neither does a payment you allowed once. See People and sites you allow.

  1. The payment passes every rule and has to ask. Lotvs writes a request, good for 15 minutes, and holds the amount so it counts in the agent’s day.

  2. The agent is answered at once: nothing was paid, here is the request and until when it waits. It is told not to pay again.

  3. You answer in the Lotvs app, under Activity, Waiting for you. You see what it wants to pay, to whom, why it asks, where the money comes from, and what is left after.

  4. If you approve, Lotvs checks every rule again as of that moment and makes the payment itself, at once. For a site, it asks the site again and pays its price if it is no more than what you approved. For a transfer to a person, you can approve a smaller amount.

  5. The agent learns the answer by calling check_request, which waits up to about 25 seconds. Once paid, it gets what the payment returned, including what a site sent back.

  • Decline: nothing is paid and the hold is released.
  • No answer in 15 minutes: the request ends, nothing is paid, and the hold is released. You can still choose Allow it now, which lets that one payment through once; the agent has to try again.
  • Pause or disconnect cancels every request that is waiting.
